When it’s cold outside you want to make sure you have an adequate hot tub cover otherwise you will lose much needed heat which means your pump needs to come on to allow your heater to heat the water over and over and over again.
Hot tub covers last approximately 3-5 years. You need to maintain then by cleaning them inside and out with a cover cleanse product which not only cleans but also protects.
Remove heavy snow and ice off the cover as well.
Covers come in various shapes, sizes and options.
A standard cover is typically 4/3 taper, with a 2ml vapour barrier. What many people don’t know is that you can upgrade you vapour barrier, your stitches, you center seam, and the fold area where the moisture from your hot tub escapes.
Give us a call. We would be happy to explain the options available and help you to measure you cover so that there are no mistakes in sizing.
Here are a couple examples of covers we recently replaced. You can’t see the upgrade in the center seam but it’s there, both of these covers also have a 6 ml vapour barrier along with the extra flap over the center core where there is typically a gap where moisture is lost.
